Well i promised a trip report from our week visit. Since i have been home it has been hectic so not had much time to write.
I have posted some bits on other threads so you know some of what we got up to. We arrived Saturday evening and dropped our cases at the villa then went and did some shopping for the essentials to see us through the week. It was halloween but not to much going on by the time we arrived. Up early Sunday morning with a nice big mug of tea by the pool (heaven) Disney mug of course. We decided to have a trip to Celebration as there is a market there on Sundays. Bought some lovely honey with a twist of keylime in it. $12 dollars but very tasty. There was a craft stall selling wooden photo frames and flower arrangments which was very nice. Got my friend a lovely frame that says " friends are like wine they mature with age" The market cafe was fairly busy and we have never eaten there before so poped in for a breakfast, there was quite a choice and reasonably priced. Colin had a full breakfast and i had omelette that was lovely. After we had a walk round the lake as it was so warm and sunny. On the way back we saw right up close an aligator, about 3 feet away from us, i may add it was only about 3 foot long itself but hay we were that close and no camera We went back to the villa to get some odd jobs done and a rest before heading of to magic Kingdom for Mickeys not so scary halloween party, We thought it might not be so good being as halloween was the day before but need not worry as always Disney did themselves proud and put on a great show for all. We arrived by the ferryboat about 6.30 got our wristbands and trick or treat bag and then started to walk round the park. There were pumkins sculptured in the shape of Mickey heads and all sorts. Loads of people dressed up, lots of little princesses and superheroes. One family were dressed as wizard of oz, mum Dorathy, dad Scarecrow, and the children Tin man and The Lion. You could see lots of villains that you don't normally see round the park. Snow white and the seven dwarfs were doing Autographs and photos.(that was the longest que i think) We were told the first parade is very busy but it is less people for the later parade, lucky for us we decided to watch both as they were both packed and we were standing at the back both times. A headless horseman rides down the street before the parade starts it looks really good, The parade is as it says not so scary. All the floats are different to the normal Disney parade which was nice. The boo to you song gets stuck in your head for a while. ![]() We did all the rides we wanted the longest wait was Haunted house and that was only 20 minutes. We were entertained while waiting by a ghost story teller. And of course we had by now got quite a few treats in our bags to munch while waiting. The trick or treat stations were all round the park, at first we felt daft getting in line with the little ones but then realised there were just as many adults and it was all part of the fun. We finally left Magic Kingdom just after midnight with great big smiles on our faces. If you are over when this is on then go it is an experience you have to try at least once. I will add some other days of our week later, don't want to bore anyone. Mary

I've never been to MNSSHP and always wondered what it would be like, so thank you for telling about it Mary! It sounds great and I didn't know that adults could trick or treat too! That's awesome!
