Default Florida Resident

My wife and I live in the UK and have owned a villa for around 10 years now. Previously we were able to obtain a Florida Residents card which helped quite a bit with discounts etc.

However, since 9/11 we were advised that we could not renew as we do not actually live in Florida.

I have heard that some Brits have been able to obtain the Florida Residents card and was wondering if any owners perhaps know how to go about this.

Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Hi
We have also been advised that since 9/11 Florida Residents Card have not been issued to UK residents. Shame because it would help with costs and as villa owners we do support the Florida economy

Can you tell me where in OBT the driving license office is and what documents they need?
We are going over in two weeks time and this would be a great help.

If they take 30 days to mail it to you then it won't be much use unless you are there for quite a long time, I presume. Do they mail it to your Villa address as we don't receive any mail now?
