Hi

I've had a door closing system installed while I am here and am very impressed so would recommend them to anyone.

It closes the patio doors automatically and secures them with a latch so children cannot easilly open them and go onto the pool deck - peace of mind for parents.

I'm sure it will save me on electricity as guests cannot now leave the doors open (unless they physically prop it open with something of course) so the A/C won't go into overdrive. It really is very impressive and hardly noticeable when installed.

The company who installed it is SlideRight Florida and their website is www.sliderightflorida.com and Dan Negevsky is the guy (e-mail dan@sliderightflorida.com) . His service ,right from initial contact, was faultless and the same goes for his standard of workmanship. Spotlesslly clean and real attention to detail.

If anyone does contact Dan please mention my name.

Not really, I paid $399 for an 8ft door. If you need to replace sliders then they are $99 I believe but my doors are only 18 months old so were fine. I think it will certainly save on electricity with A/C and the added safety feature is a positive for families too.

While I am here I've noticed guests staying in a home close to mine who leave the pation doors wide open as long as they are in the house. They only close it when they are going out for the day but it is opened again as soon as they return - I wouldn't like to pay that owner's electricity bill for this month!

This is a great idea! I would also be interested in hearing about the cost! Thanks Keith!

Sounds like a good idea.

We know that our pool alarm which cannot be turned off has saved us thousands in electicity costs.

We think it would be great on garage doors where there is a games room, too.
