A toy shop has opened up at DTD in the old Virgin mega store which will allow you to build your own custom made toy car. Looks fun for all ages and a huge shop. There is a youtube video but i can't put the link on <:embarr sorry.

I have copied some of what was written about the store (Steve remove if this is not allowed) Just to give everyone an idea of what it is like. The pictures look really good but i don't know how to put those on yet. <:embarr

Anyway if anyboby would like to add the photos please do.
Looks like a nice place to have some great fun

Following on the footsteps of Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney in Anaheim, Calif., today Ridemakerz opened a store at Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney here in Orlando.

Ridemakerz allows you to create and customize your own model car, choosing the body, undercarriage, tires, wheels, decals and other accessories (each with their own price tag). In addition, you can add radio control ability, which in my opinion is a must. The average sale, with radio control added, will range from $50-$75 depending on how many add-ons you choose.

Hope to take a walk past this in June to see what it is like.

Is this going to be permanent or temporary?

Sounds like you are having a busy time, Mary. How long are you there for?

Went in there recently and took all of about 5 minutes to realise that it would work out to be very expensive for a decent set up. Sure, they had some nice real cars in there to look at but I can't see the place lasting in the long term. What is in there doesn't go anywhere near to filling the place and there are still remnants of Virgin's presence, e.g the areas on the columns where they used to have earphones to listen to the music.

The Virgin store always seemed very busy, and it is certainly going to be missed. It is such a huge store that it will take a lot to fill it.

Hi Ellie,

Yes we have been busy and we are here until sunday 23rd. It has gone so quick as always we are running out of time.

We went to the store and Keith is right it takes 5 minutes to realise the cheapest car to build would be about $70 to look anything.
We asked how long the store would be open and the guy told us until September hopefully and then to a smaller shop still in Down town Disney.

Nice cars to photo.
