Nice one Sandra,
are you flying down from New York or driving?
arkvilla
5th February 2010, 12:53 PM
We are flying Steve, $81 with JetBlue bargain :)
I've never been to NY and it worked out cheaper to fly to NY than direct to Orlando and as we were thinking of another roadtrip we decided to do it.
I'm sooooo excited <:cheer

I'm really envious, we aren't sure when we will get out this year as we have 3 big birthdays coming up!!!!!
Arkvilla - you have given me an idea, we are planning a 3 night trip to NY in September and couldn't believe the quote you have from NY to Orlando. This is a very tempting idea!!!! Are you going home via Orlando?<:confused

Hi Mary - there appears to be several of us about in May and we are looking forward to going but not sure how much furniture we will be able to change as Stuart lost his job yesterday. However, am sure a meal at Manny's will still be on the cards and hopefully a visit to Hogwarts and Aquatica.

Hi Debbie,
Yes we fly back from Orlando.
I spoke to a nice man at Virgin who gave me the quote or you could look on Expedia or Opodo and do a multicity quote

Been back a couple of weeks and just had to book again for April with my sons. Not able to stay at our place due to demand but at least I won't have to do any maintenance/chores this time so I might just actually get a holiday!

Thanks Steve. I also own a Marriott Timeshare and haven't utilised that much so have a few weeks deposited or that I have exchanged for vouchers to use at Marriott hotels. We're staying at Marriotts Cypress Harbour on Westwood Blvd for 7 nights then will either go to the house for the last 3 nights or somewhere else with Marriott so we have plenty of options and the accomodation isn't really costing us as I've already paid my annual fees. I've got vouchers with Marriott to cover 14 nights (including breakfasts) to use up too.
I'm thinking of selling the Marriott timeshare weeks (2 at Christmas - maximum flexibility) as I don't use it enough so if anyone is interested get in touch.

Oh i am so sorry to hear about Stuats job lose. Hope something turns up soon. Fingers crossed for you.
This time last year i had not long shut the doors on Woolworth and wandering where i would find a job. So kinda know what your feeling.
We could always arrange a meet up while we are all there, would be nice to have a chat.

Keith that sounds really great. That will be a real Disney Holiday. I would use the last 3 days with your vouchers then it will stay a holiday and not a last minute dash round the house as you see bits to do (as we alway's do )
Bet your boys will be so excited. What age are they?
Have a fantastic time.

They are 19 (twins) and are looking forward to it. They live in the Isle of Man and I live in Jersey so it is a chance for us to meet up though the logistics of flights can be a headache especially with the costs of Flybe flights from the IoM to Gatwick (sore point).
You're right about it being a holiday this time.

Well done you! Can you send me the secret, please? I am hoping to lose around 10lbs before we go in December. Apart from slitting my throat I can't see I have a hope in whatsit. <:lol

Nearly packed just the last minute bits to do now. Besides i always leave something out and blame Colin <:embarr i think it is the nerves that does it.
Lost 12 lbs in five weeks, girls at work helped by weighing me every monday morning (ten of us aimed to lose a stone each in ten weeks) if we gain we are paying a £1 per lb gained to charity.
All i have really done is stopped eating all biscuits, cut down on crisps or eat french fries instead, mullier light yogurts instead of full fat ones. I have even had the odd piece of cake as i cannot stop it all. weak willed <:embarr
Once i lost a few pounds it encouraged me to carry on, i know i will eat loads in Florida but luckily i am not keen on the biscuits out there. Just need to limit the blueberry muffins , pancakes and Mannys salad.
Okay so i will gain but so worth it.
Give it a go Ellie and see if it helps. <:cheer

Oh dear, have had a really bad day today, and stupidly ate some little Halloween fairy cakes I had bought for my husband to take into work.
Oh woe is me for I have sinned - big time.
Will have to starve myself tomorrow, but I needed them......<:embarr

Thats okay Ellie, i still eat the odd cakes as well and still manage to lose weight. I have found stop eating the treats after 8 in the evening helping.
