I can remember when we first visited Orlando we used to go to the eat-all-you-can-buffet style breakfast venues, which are quite amazing, and unbelievable value. We used to love Golden Corrall the best.
But now we have been visiting for a few years we find we can't cope with such a huge breakfast - or maybe we now know what the downside is ie. when we get on the scales at home - so we tend to go for somewhere where we can get a set breakfast. We also love porridge, or 'oatmeal' as it is known in the US so were pleased to find that Cracker Barrel serve this in the morning.
But what do you all like to do? Do you go for a buffet or do you try other places? What is your favourite breakfast menu? Sorry I can't put in every option - there are so many to choose from - I-Hop, Sizzler, Denny's to name but a few, but hope 'other' will suffice.

Ours used to be Ponderosa when we first went years ago.
We like Perkins now for a set breakfast or if we are feeling extravagent then the market street cafe at Celebration is nice. Not to expensive but more than some places.
Lovely to have a sunday breakfast there then a stroll round the market, then a walk round the lake. Oh i can just imagine it now. <:sun

We haven't tried Perkins, Mary. Do they do oatmeal, do you know?

Our favorite breakfast place is The Waffle Shop http://www.floridawaffleshop.com/ near the Mall at Millenia. Great breakfast.
Not to be confused with Waffle house!

I like Perkins and I-Hop. I have to say that we don't go out for breakfast very often because then I feel full the whole day and I much prefer going out for dinner! I prefer to have a light breakfast at the villa.

Perkins for us too. We did, at first, go to Ponderosa and the like but I like eggs freshly cooked and we started going to Denny's, I-Hop and then Perkins and found that the best. I normally have the Classic Egg breakfast with Canadian bacon, hash browns, eggs over easy and sausage links. Very nice! <:hungry This also comes with a choice of Pancakes, Toast or Muffin.

My favourite breakfast venue has to be our lanai. One of the main advantages of being in a villa is to be able to get up and have breakfast outside reading the paper and watch the world go by. I do not mind washing up afterwards either.

You are SO right, JAF. Especially if there is fresh Florida orange juice to wash it down with.
Now, come on, you wash up? What about your dishwasher? (or is he still in bed?) <:doglol

Bizarre but fab!

I am sitting here thinking how great that breakfast sounds Steve. I am a real fan of Perkins blueberry muffins yummy. Colin has the full breakfast like you.
I am not a big breakfast eater but my first cuppa in the morning feet daggling over the edge of the pool is my idea of heaven. Love it and look forward to that more than anything.

Now that depends on whether I let him have the sports pages from the paper or not and as I do not care for American football he gets the sports section and for the privilege gets to load the dishwasher.
Also like to get the orange juice direct from the Orange Ring - nothing better than freshly squeezed juice.

I prefer my lanai too but anothe rplace I have been to that was very good was 'Shoneys' at Lake Buena Vista (but there are more around). Good selection, good service and reasonably priced and unlike Ponderosa... not full of Brits!

When we were in Orlando this February we have had breakfast here but the name of the restaurant has changed to Keke's breakfast cafe http://www.kekesbreakfastcafe.com/
