We visited Magic Kingdom in the run up to Christmas and had a wonderful time. It was beautifully decorated, and they were recording the Christmas TV special in front of Cinderella's Castle which was fascinating. Mariah Carey's husband was doing the links and it was amazing how many times they made him redo his speeches. He looked pretty bored by the end of it but had to talk enthusiastically about how much he was enjoying himself.
Here are a few photos of the decorations. The park looked so festive even as we entered. Great swags hung from the station, and pointsettias everywhere. There were street entertainers in festive outfits.

Lovely photos - Disney always know how to decorate for the different holidays and we love seeing the Christmas decorations and pagents.
Although we love going to Florida for Christmas, this year we had a great time in the snow in Sheffield playing frisbee, having snowball fights and using the frisbee as a sled down the hill.

Am having a little trouble putting up the photos - more to follow when I can make it work! <:confused
Ah! that's better! The castle was being prepared for the filming of the Christmas Day show, and Yanny, and one of the American Idol winners performed on the stage in front of the castle. The young man in the fourth photo is Mariah Carey's husband. The park was awash with beautiful plants and flowers.

Ellie they are lovely photos.
I hope to get a later holiday from work this year so that i can see all the decorations up at Magic Kingdom. I would really love to see the tree and the parade.
That said it was good to see halloween on our last visit, that was a first for us.
Disney really know how to pull the stops out.
Thanks for sharing your photos.

I am sure you would love it Mary. It is so pretty. As you say, Disney certainly do know how to put on a show.

Have not seen the Halloween parades but can definitely vouch for excellent Christmas and Easter parades. Disney certainly know how to decorate and celebrate the different events.
