I love flying to Orlando - am on cloud 9 the minute we shut the front door and get into the car. <:cheer
On our last flight we saw some amazing cloud formations which I couldn't resist photographing.
Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did.

Nice photos ellie, it fascinates me, I sit looking at them for ages. Nothing though, beats the first sight of land. We have flown several routes but one of the best ones was when we came in over Newfoundland, stayed inland, and flew over Montreal and Quebec, New England, New York then to our left and we flew down the coast and it was as clear as a bell! The pilot even announced as we were over Atlantic City, that the huge building we could see there was the Trump Plaza! It was a great flight. Once we got south of Georgia, we went out over the sea for our decent into Orlando, crossing as always over the Kennedy Space Center.

Obviously I just love flying out to Florida, but have you ever seen the point, when flying back, that the dawn is just about to break. A wonderful yellow and red line appears. Tried to photograph it many a time but failed miserably

Mary, you are not odd at all. It is very difficult to overcome a fear of flying. Until the age of over 40 I was completely terrified - as for looking at clouds - no way! It reminded me that there was 30,000 ft of nothing below the window.
But now they fascinate me, and I love to have a window seat.
I am afraid I also have an engine fetish as you will see........<:wink<:embarr

I have to admit I really can't understand how those huge engines stay stuck to the flimsy looking wings....but I try not to think about that too much!
And, Mary, don't think about it at all! <:doglol

Thanks for the photo Ellie.

You are very welcome, Mary. The only trouble with digital cameras is that I rarely take my photos to be printed, so they just sit on my computer, so its really nice to be able to share them with others. <:wink

I have some airborne photos.
You will see a Delta flight that we overtook on the way over the Atlantic. We weren't as close as it looks actually :) Gotta love having 4 engines :)

Wow, Steve, those are spectacular photos of the Delta flight. It does look close! <:omg
As you say, 4 engines are better than 2!<:wink

Great photos Ellie. I love taking photos of clouds, but normally from ground level. Hubby would moan if I asked him to get my camrea out while on the plane

Sadly our last trip produced absolutely no photos. It was cloud all the way over, as we went the 'long way' over the sea, and on our return we couldn't even see the ground until we were just over the runway at Gatwick, so that was sad! :(
