Anheuser-Busch InBev has announced that they are to sell the parent company, Busch Entertainment Corp, which owns SeaWorld Orlando, to the Blackstone Group.

Busch Entertainment is the second busiest theme park operator in the US and has 10 theme parks, including Aquatica and Discovery Cove. They already have a 50% stake in Universal Orlando as well as the Merlin Entertainments Group which operates Madame Tussauds in London, plus Legoland.

They say there will be no noticeable changes, apart from the removal of the iconic Clysedale horses from the Seaworld stables. The hospitality center in ,which used to offer free samples of Bud, was removed some time ago. The park will continue to serve the beer but it is no longer free.

Blackstone already own some Premier hotels and resorts, including Claridges, The Savoy, and the Boca Raton Resort and Spa (where we stayed during our daughter's management in training year, which she undertook as part of her degree course) and the Waldorf Astoria, New York.

It will be interesting to see if there are any changes apart from signage.
