It has been announced that Davy Jones of the Monkees is probably going to perform at the Flower Power Concerts at Epcot in 2010. These concerts are held during the annual Epcot Flower and Garden Festival - which is a great experience if you happen to be over in Orlando at that time of year. At the moment it is likely to be on May 7-9th, although these dates could change.

I expect I am showing my age if I say that the Monkees were popular when I was a teenager, but I would love to see him perform. We used to dash home from wherever we were to watch the Monkees on TV (just like we did to see Illya Kuryachin - alias David McCallum - in The Man from U.N.C.L.E) Wonder if there are any other oldies out there who remember either of these cult programmes of the '60's?

<:wink

As a teenager I really fancied Davy Jones. Every Saturday morning my friend and I took it in turns to go round each others houses to watch the Monkees and we drooled over him.

As you can guess I am one of the oldies <:rolleyes

Yes I remember them well, <:embarr .....you're right Mary, Daydream Believer along with I'm a Believer was probably their most known hits. I'm a believer was actually written by Neil Diamond. <:type
