The building which once housed Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, and which has stood empty for quite a long time since the abortive attempt to sell it to Premium Outlets, is to be turned into a Flea Market, with a Pizza Parlour on the upper floor. There are to be about 400 stalls and the Pizza Parlour is going to be massive. The Flea Market will be open 7 days a week.

We noticed signs for this when we drove down the I-4 a couple of weeks ago, but it looks as if it actually going to open at the end of October.

Whilst not a great fan of Flea Markets, it may appeal to some people.

Yes I agree ellie, I like the original Flea Markets for the locals but not keen on the touristy ones, which this will be I guess.

The one and only time we ever went to a Flea Market (on the 192) was the first time we visited Orlando many years ago, when the children were much younger. I bought my daughter a 'silver' ring which had a stone in it, which promptly dropped out - needless to say when we returned the next day the guy and his stall had gone. <:lol
