Blue Horizons

SeaWorld has outdone itself with this performance! Blue Horizons is a colorful, high energy, theatrical performance involving a large brightly costumed cast, dolphins, and exotic birds including macaws and even a condor! It's like the sea meets Broadway and Cirque du Soleil!

We hadn't been to Seaworld for a number of years so we saw many changes. The theatre itself used to be quite simple, with just a lighthouse, but it is now quite spectacular.

That pesky heron gets everywhere....well you never know, the dolphins might drop the odd fish or two!

The costumes are very colourful. I am glad it was not me having to dive from such a great height!

The amazing performances of the dolphins were breathtaking.... how on earth do they get them to do that? Well, I guess there has to be a great deal of trust, and what appears to be genuine affection on both sides.

The introduction of real live birds which swoop down low over the audience quite unexpectedly has added another dimension to the show. The acrobatics are also spectacular and very colourful.

But it has to be the animals themselves which really steal the show.
