It is some time since we last visited Seaworld, and we were bowled over by the new 'Believe' Show, featuring the wonderful killer whales. I have to admit to being quite emotional when I saw this amazing show. I don't think I was the only one reaching for my tissues.

If you get the chance to visit Seaworld, don't miss this truly stunning show.

The show takes place in this wonderful theatre, with huge screens which form a backdrop. This crane is always there, waiting patiently in case the odd fish drops on the ground when the trainers scoop up handfulls to reward the whales.

The extraordinary relationship that the whales have with their trainers is unbelievable. The whales seem to exude a joy that is almost tangible. Seeing that row of teeth as they open their mouths to receive their reward of fish reminds you that they have the power to kill, and it is their choice to perform or not.

How they train these animals I cannot imagine, but the trust that exists between this leviathan of the deep and these wonderful trainers is breathtaking to watch.

We sat spellbound, as these powerful creatures performed complex routines.

It is astonishing to think that these whales, who have no natural enemies, allow their trainers to scratch their backs!

In fact there was a song in the show that was really moving, my son has found it for me and put it on my computer for me. Tissues everytime i play it.<:embarr

I agree that this show is quite touching. I have to say though that I really love Shamu Rocks! This is a seasonal after dark performance in the same stadium and I had the best time singing along and (much to my children's embarrassment) grooving to some of my all time favorite rock n roll tunes! I always find the night time performances to be so magical and it was pretty amazing watching Shamu move to the music!

We went back in the evening for 'Shamu Rocks.' It was equally stunning, and as you say, the music was excellent.

It was so funny to see the people on the screens before the show started. There is a camera which pans around the audience zooming in on various people - it was quite hilarious to see their reactions once they realised they were featured on the huge screens at the front of the theatre.<:lol

Oh yes!!! I loved that part too!! That was really fun! I recall that were a couple guys who were really hamming it up and they kept going back to them until they just left the cameras on them alone - it was quite a performance!! I couldn't stop laughing!

My son is out tonight so will update you tomorrow. The song i liked kept coming on the radio while we were there so it kinda became the holiday song.
There seems to be one every trip.
As soon as i find out i will let you know

Hi Ellie,
I asked David and he said the song i keep singing is called "You and me" by Lifehouse.
But he said there is a sound track of "Believe" he saw it at SeaWorld.
Maybe it might appear in my xmas stocking then as i never saw it.
My daughter is sitting here now groaning because i have started singing again, only i don't know all the words, <:lol Bit like its a small world once you start you cannot stop!!!

Thanks for that Steve, i have played it over a couple of times. Love it.
That is not the song that got stuck in my head, i think it is in the evening show. I found one on utube but do not know how to post it on here. The song does not sound the same as when you listen to it watching the show (hope that makes sense).
Anyway seeing Ellies pictures and your link i think maybe we shall squeeze a day at SeaWorld when we pop over. <:wink

Hi

We went to Sea World 3 times this year (flex ticket) and saw the show day and night. I have 3 kids boys Graeme 15, Cameron 13 and Katherine 8 (9 on Friday).
When the night time show was on the boys went on the Manta a good time to go. Katherine just loves Seaworld, I think it is one of the best parks.<:cheer
