We were pleased to hear that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority re-opened on Friday. This elevated ride through various Tomorrowland attractions has been closed for some time during the refurbishment of Space Mountain.
We have frequently retreated to this attraction during the heat of the day when our feet were aching and we needed a quick sit-down. It gives you some interesting views of the park itself, and you were also able to go inside Space Mountain.

Our family always has to split up when we get to Space Mountain. Three of us are big fans and two of us are chickens! So, the two of us who are chickens take a nice leisurely ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority while the other 3 ride Space Mountain. You can normally go right up and get right on this and we usually go on a couple times while waiting for those other three. One time as we got to the part where you ride through Space Mountain and we got very excited when we actually saw them!

Do you know Ellie and Steve - we never knew about this thing until we found it by accident! We thought we'd have a bit of a sit down and really enjoyed it - in fact I think we ended up going round and round for about an hour because once we sat down with aching legs we couldn't get back up!! I thought it was our secret!!

Actually, Jo-Anne, I don't think you are the only one who didn't know about it. It is rarely very busy, and as the little trams are on a continuous loop you just go up the escalator and jump on. But there are some fantastic views over the park, so its well worth taking a break on it.

I think it's true that it's easily missed. You can't really see it at ground level and the escalators that take you up to board the cars are below the Astro Orbiter. I think many people think that's the entrance for that ride when in fact you take an elevator to board that one.

That's one of the reasons why we also like Spaceship Earth at Epcot, Mary! Nice peaceful ride in the cool.<:wink

We seem so alike Ellie. Spaceship earth is another favorite. I think it really sets Epcot out for what the park is.
Did you do this ride this trip? What did you think of the new interactive part at the end?

We didn't get to the Disney parks this trip, Mary, unfortunately but we have ridden the new updated Spaceship Earth. I like it, and I think the animatronics seemed better, although there were some bits I missed seeing - but obviously technology has advanced to such an extent that they had to remove some things as they were a little 'old hat.'
The interactive bit at the end is amusing, isn't it?
