We have had a villa in Florida for 4 years now and have been going for over 15 years and believe it or not we just discovered The Loop last year and loved it, I couldnt believe how big it was<:clap.
Our Villa in on the 27 near to the Florida Hospital so up to last year we mostly shopped at the prime outlets or lake Buena Vista ,
I also found Lakeland to be a great mall , very similar to the Florida Mall but much quieter.

has anyone any other suggestions for shopping places that we dont know about yet?

We went to the loop 2 years ago, I think it had just opened. We liked it, we had a meal in Chilis too. The main reason we went was to look at Kohl's but were a bit disappointed with it.

Most of the good shopping places are common knowledge around Orlando, so I can't think of any other ones that you may not know about. I will say when we drove down to Naples/Ft Myers we went to Ellenton Mall, that was very good and well worth a visit if you are going that way.

I like the Loop and have noticed over the years how much it has expanded but find Khols very hit and miss sometimes we have found lots of goodies and other times we have come away empty handed, think those are the times hubby likes best<:wink

We like the Mall at Millenia too Liz, in fact there are some great stores to have a wonder round in that vicinity. We bought a 7 foot pre lit Christmas tree with 200 bulbs I think, from the Expo store there and bought it home with us to the UK. It was a crazy thing to do when I look back on it, we were able bring it back as a piece of luggage as it was just under the then 32kg limit. I bought a couple of step down transformers for the voltage and when we finally got it home we set it up the next day. It was in 3 pieces, I plugged it in and thought wow that's a bit bright <:confused but thought maybe it was supposed to be like that and that maybe in the store it didn't look so bright. 10 minutes later our daughter arrived and said you could see it right down the street!! Anyway a short time later we heard some crackling, so turned it off. It was then we could smell Santa burning at the top of the tree. He had like a plastic cone that enabled him to be placed at the top. When I tried to get it off he had melted a little to the branches! This is when we thought something isn't right. I tried the other transformer and it came on perfectly well and has done ever since, although we lost a few bulbs as time went by over the Xmas period and had to replace them on our next trip.

Anyway it is worth taking a look in Expo. I think it is owned by Home Depot but has a lot of top range stuff.

Have great time Liz!! <:widegrin

Although I have been to Millenia Mall a few times, it always seems to be a flying visit with my speed shopping tactics applied <:lol I really must aim to start here rather than dash in for the last opening hour

We like Panera Bread for a bowl of soup and a sandwich at lunchtime at the Loop.

There is also a fantastic shop which sells 'crafty' bits, bit like HobbyCraft in the UK but even better - can't remember its name. At Christmas they had a sale on and I was able to buy some great bits and pieces.

Thanks, Liz, that's the one. They had a massive sale on just before Christmas. I was in my element.
