Rock n roller coaster is a dark thrill ride that features the music of Aerosmith. It is recommended that you get a fast pass for this ride as it is very popular.
Whilst in the line for the ride, you get to listen to Aerosmith music and stop by at the studio to watch the band finish off a recording session. Of course, the band feel bad because there you are, you have come to watch them do some recording and they have to leave so they suggest to their manager that she arrange a super stretch limo to get you to the "gig". The doors open and you then join the line for your limo. The ride itself is fast, especially the start which features a 0 - 60 mph in around 2 seconds. As roller coasters go it is not as intense as some of the traditional ones you will find elsewhere in Orlando.

Because it's all inside it always makes my eyes water like mad as it's very windy.
It's one of my favourite rides :)

This is one of our favourite rides too <:widegrin You go 0 to something very fast in a nano second so the photo they take at this point looks like you have had a face lift <:lol

I have to admit to being a total wimp, and would avoid this ride like the plague. But my kids absolutely love it, and I am always amazed at the young children coming off this ride smiling when I get the shakes just thinking about it! <:wink

I am the same ellie absolutely petrified of roller coasters. It took me ages to pluck up the courage to go on Big Thunder Mountain lol still get the shakes before I go on it.

The first time we went to Disney my children took me on Space Mountain......omg, was I PETRIFIED! They spent most of their time shouting 'are you ok, mum?' as we hurtled along at speed in the dark! Not that I noticed anything as I had my eyes tightly shut, praying for it to end! Don't know why, but I did it again the next time and was equally frightened, but they just love it. Funny, really, as I absolutely LOVE Mission Space and many people find that too intense.

I being a total wimp as well have not done either Rock n Roller Coaster or Space Mountain. <:embarr
Fortunately for me I have one child who is exactly like me <:widegrin so I always have company! When my other kids and hubby are riding Space Mountain, she and I enjoy a nice leisurely ride on The People Mover!! And the two of us are very familiar with the waiting area outside of Rock n Roller Coaster!!:p

I am the wimp of our family, Soarin is my best shot at going anywhere with my feet of the ground.
I do have a good excuse, some one has to hold the bags, sunglasses etc.!!!!
Love people watching and seeing all the smiley faces when they come of the rides.

For those who love this ride -like me - you may like to know it is scheduled for rehab May 15 through May 20. Reopens on May 21st, 2010.
Of course those who don't will be grateful they can't be cajoled, pushed or other wise onto it then also

We have yet to try it Janny, would you say it is on a par with some of the others like the Hulk or maybe a bit more tame?

I haven't done Hulk Steve as we don't go to Universal that often . In general I don't like coasters but R'N'R I could ride all day so to me its quite tame- on a par with Manta in Seaworld for me .We may go to Universal next month so I may try it.

I think it's having a bit of a face lift and possibly the Aerosmith bit is being replaced??? I'm sure I read it somewhere but it may have just been a rumour

It can't be a very big rehab as it isn't shut for long -which is a good thing .
