I seem to be able to choose an avatar without a problem and it is showing on my CP and my profile but when I save it I get an upload error message and it doesn't show on my posts etc.
I've checked the size of the image etc and everything seems OK.
Any tips would be appreciated.

I will have alook into it Jo-Anne,

I have a feeling it is to do with the file size, as it is animated it will be a bigger file than a regular one.

Hi Jo-Anne,

I have just tried adding your avatar to a test account of mine and I got it to work. I did a few alterations to the forum settings. Yours still isn't showing so I suggest you remove it and try again, see if that works.

I've cleared it off and done it again and although it shows on my control panel page it doesn't show on the rest of the forum. Thanks for helping Steve!

I have just added an avatar to my profile, so this is just a test to see if it has worked.

<:widegrin No Problem Jo-Anne, I am still finding out stuff on this forum as it is quite a full featured thing and something new to me, so it may take me a bit longer to fathom things!
