Has anyone been to the prime outlets lately? [ the old beltz mall] at the top of international drive, boy has it changed it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with some really cool shops.
We used to like the outlet mall at Lake Beuna Vista , but parking there has got manic since they took away part of the car park to build more shops.
My two boys are mad about Ed Hardy products, over in the U.K a t-shirt can cost anything between 60.00 to 120.00GBP but over in the prime Outlets there is an Ed hardy shop that sells them for $31.00.
We are going over at xmas and I bet my 3 kids will just spend all their money there<:clap<:clap<:clap

Yes, we like the new look too, we went not long after it was completed and like what they have done with it. Both Dawn and I bought a Jacket from the Oakley outlet. Way cheaper than the UK and cheaper than the Oakley shop in the Florida Mall.

We think it is a huge improvement on the old Beltz mall, and is very well landscaped and laid out. It goes get pretty hot in the summer as it is open air, but we like to visit in the evening, when it is a little cooler. They are opening more restaurants, too, so it is great to combine a shopping trip with a meal out.

Visited in June. We got loads of shopping (daughter was with us) found some great shoes for work at half the price of here. It does get hot if you are waiting outside the shops to long, but most of the time you go in and wonder anyway.

One place to try in the food court is Five Guys burgers and fries, this company have received many awards for their food. I had one when I was there and it was very good. I think they are slightly healthier than some of the other, they have up to 15 toppings to choose from and cook their fries in Peanut oil. Here is abit from there press release
Five Guy's has been ZAGAT survey rated every year since 2001 and has been voted the Washingtonian Magazine's "Readers' Choice" #1 Burger every year since 1999! Since expanding outside of the Washington DC metro area, Five Guys has continued to garner awards and praise in nearly every market we enter.

We also used to go at least once every trip to Preium Outlets but tried Prime Outlets last November were very impressed. We took the kids in Jne and the Boys found the canterbury shop so rugby shirts were the order of the day. Neisha then found lavender hunter wellies in Sak's outlet and as it was pouring decided to wear them the rest of the day - a vision of loveliness in bright multi coloured shorts and lavendar wellies<:widegrin

For those of you who haven't been to Prime Outlets, here are some photos. It is a very attractive place to shop.

As a side note, there are multiple locations of Prime Outlets in the U.S., primarily in the Eastern states. There are 5 locations in the state of Florida alone including the Gulf Coast area, Jacksonville area and southern Florida.

There are lots of them, but the best is generally agreed to be the Mall at Millenia. This is no ordinary shopping mall it is the finest one of all.Orlando Premium Outlets is the location well worth exploring if you want to be sure you get as much for your dollars as possible. You will find all those big name stores here, but the prices will be a lot more affordable as they generally are at an outlet centre. And with a hundred and fifty stores in total, this could be another whole day out shopping to look forward to.

I just heard they are opening a UGG shop for you lovely people who like their boots.
They are expensive in England so hopefully there will be some bargains to be had.

Orlando Premium Outlets is our favourite and we usually find loads of bargains in a huge range of brand stores.<:widegrin

Since they have renovated the old Beltz it has a feel of Premium Outlets now I think. :) I will be there very soon now, no doubt Dawn will check out the UGG shop. :)

We think the parking at Prime Outlets is easier than Premium Outlet Mall.
Bet you can't wait to go, Steve, even if the old credit card will be red hot! :<wink
Only 44 days, eh?<:cheer

Yes ellie, can't wait...... it's 2008 since last visit so really looking forward to it. :) I agree with you about the parking at Prime, it is much better than Premium Outlets. They lost a lot of spaces when the did that work at the back.

Gosh, Steve, you will have SO much to see - all that Harry Potter stuff, too! We didn't make it in June - the crowds were just too much as it had only just opened.
It is absolutely amazing how much Orlando changes in a short time - the speed at which they finish projects is awe inspiring. And they always seem to do it properly with lovely landscaping, too. We have found the 429 a great help in getting places - straight into Disney from our villa, and a quick journey down to the 1-4 if you want to go to Universal or Seaworld.
Was it open the last time you went to Florida?

Yes ellie, you are so right! We are expecting so many changes and to be able to see all the new stuff as well as our favourite old stuff will be hard. We have 2 new travellers to Florida with us this time too. :)
