One of our favourite places to eat is Manny's Chophouse near Walmart on US27. We love the steaks. I would always advise anyone to phone ahead as it will cut down the wait time. Last time we took some friends we ended up having our wine in tumblers as they were so busy they ran out of wine glasses. We also like the salad bowl which they mix at your table.

We love Applebees which is at Beyy Town Centre, happy hour all day every day and great family food

We also love, in no particular order:-

Cafe TuTu Tango - International Drive
Romano's Macaroni Grill Marker 10 on 192
Thai Thani - new one just opened in Celebration
Bahama Breeze

So many restaurants so little time.....

I know, frustrating when you only have 2 or 3 weeks and have to work out where to eat at night. Because the favorite places get visited more than once. We tried Applebees for the first time last time we were there, they had only just opened so was a bit disappointed. We had a server that was not up to much. The food was ok though. Will try Thai Thani next time we are over. Another place we want to try is Texas de Brazil, I have heard lots about it but never got there. We love Tony Romas, the one at LBV closed a few years ago so the nearest is I drive. There is one in the UK actually in Kingston on Thames. We keep saying one day we will give it a visit but it is 3 hours away!! Also in the UK is Chilis we love the US ones but was a little disappointed with the one in Cambridge.

Carrabbas and Olive Garden are 2 other favourites for us along with Cracker barrel Mmmm... can almost taste the Roast Beef!! :p We also like Perkins for breakfast. Never been keen on Breakfast Buffets.

Like you say there are too many to mention.

We finally got to Mannys for the first time during our recent visit less than a month ago. It was really good! If you try to get there early when they open at 4:00, you won't have to wait long and they have some great early bird specials.

I didn't know that they sold their salad dressing, Jo-Anne! Thats great news, and I will definitely get some when we are over in August. Do you know if there is a short use-by date on it, or would it be suitable to bring home to the UK?

It lasts for ages until it's opened, then you keep it in the fridge for a few days. It is the real deal and I made my own Manny's chopped salad at home which was delicious!

I can't believe you've never been Ellie!!
The food and atmosphere is fab and very friendly but it isn't Victoria and Alberts if you know what I mean so dress prepared for that!!
The paper tablecloths, sticky wet floor and loos are not the highlights for me, but the service and food are fabulous!!

dont ever order a portion of garlic mushrooms as a starter in Mannys if you dont have a truck to take them home with you LOL, in this country if you order them as a starter you will get maybe 10 to 12 on a small dish , my husband ordered them in mannys as he doesnt like salad , a dinner plate came with over 60 garlic mushrooms , all 5 of us had a portion .

My DH had the onion rings and there were so many we had to take some home, we also took the rolls home and 1/2 rack of ribs - too much for us in one go but great for lunch the next day :)

Ellie it is just past Southern Dunes on H27 (through 2 sets of lights I think) on the right. Do ring first (863) 422-3910 to get yourself on the list.

If you are into large portions, supersize the steak, they just take off the horns and hooves<:lol

Not sure where to ask this question, but what does 'add to Ellie's reputation' mean - just noticed this on the left hand side under my community.<:confused

Hi ellie,

yes it was something I meant to take off, as I wasn't sure it was a good thing. The idea in principle is great but there could be a negative side to it. What happens id if someone posts what you consider to be a really helpful or informative post then you can add to their reputation, by approving of their post, which in turn raises them higher up the scale.

Like so.
User will become famous soon enough for 50 adds of reputation
User is a glorious beacon of light for 450 adds to reputation

and so on.

The down side is that people can always disapprove of a post and this takes away from the reputation. This of course could cause problems and promote bad feeling etc. So we thought we could leave it out. I may look for something like an addon that will allow for someone to leave thanks for a useful helpful post.

That sounds very interesting. It is always great to get feedback so it would be quite nice to know you have helped someone. Think that your idea would be great.

Steaks have never been the same in the UK since we've eaten at Roadhouse Grill and Logans Roadhouse, always a must on our first night!!!!!!!!!!!

That is very true, Good steaks in the UK are hard to come by. I think a lot of it is down to the meat itself, in the US steaks are aged between 4 - 6 weeks for flavour and tenderness I just don't think that happens over here. :(
